Vania Sciolini is the Program Manager of the Berggruen Institute. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature with an emphasis on Post-Structuralist social theories and Jacobin movements of the 18th and 19th century. Before joining the Berggruen team, Vania was the Program Coordinator at the Hume Center at Stanford University, where she managed the growth and development of all tutoring programs as well as operations and events. Vania is a polyglot. She speaks Italian, Amharic, French and Spanish. She immigrated independently from Ethiopia at the age of 17.
